CHILDREN’S FARM IN MERIKARVIA 2017

Welcome to milking in 2017!  MuuMaa offers farm activities for children and other tour leaders throughout the entire summer. Visit us for a day or enjoy a real countryside holiday.

You may bring things such as carrots and bread for the animals. Only the horses are not allowed any gifts, since they will learn to misbehave and pull treats out of pockets.

COUNTRYSIDE ACTIVITIES FOR ALL TASTES 2017

A lot happens on the children’s farm during opening hours:

11.00am
Meeting the ”courage animal” of the day. Hen house tour near the yard.

12.00 noon
Feeding the pigs, milking the cow. Visiting the pirates’ grotto.

1.00pm
Pony carriage ride, milking a goat.

2.00pm
Finland100: An event with Elf Pörtsutti.

2.30pm-3.30pm
Finland100: Farmhand hiring market (themes and tasks change daily).

3.00pm
Hand-led horse ride. Visiting the pirates’ grotto. Introducing an unusual animal.

4.00pm
Feeding the pigs. Milking the cow. Special tour of the day on a tractor: the singing tractor.

5.00pm
Hen house tour, egg lottery, rabbit feeding raffle. The last Countryside Certificates are given out.

Force majeure:
”If the mouse is sick, there will be no performance. Lazy farmhands will not work and the rooster only sings when he wants to.”

OPENING HOURS AND DAY PASSES 2017

MuuMaa’s summer 2017 will kick off on Saturday, June 3rd. You are welcome to spend a Finland 100 themed summer in the countryside!

Tuesday-Sunday 11am–6pm
June 3rd – August 6th, 2017

Closed on Mondays – the animals have the day off.

Other times available to reservation. Email for more information: info@koivuniemenherra.fi.

Exceptions
Closed on Midsummer (Sat, June 24th, 2017).
Normal opening hours on the second day of Midsummer (Sun, June 25th, 2017) 11am–6pm.

MuuMaa day pass
€12.50 for over 2-year-olds
Includes the MuuMaa programme of the day, admission to the area and the use of equipment e.g. boats, canoes (and life vests).
